Why This Sleepy Time Tea Actually Works
Each ingredient in this blend is carefully chosen to support relaxation and deep sleep:
Chamomile – The OG sleep herb, chamomile is packed with apigenin, a natural compound that binds to sleep receptors in your brain.
Lavender – Aromatic and calming, lavender reduces anxiety and promotes relaxation.
Lemon Balm – Known for easing stress and soothing the nervous system.
Valerian Root – A natural sedative that can help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
Raw Honey (Optional) – Adds natural sweetness and supports melatonin production for better sleep.

Sleepy Time Tea Recipe
Ingredients (Makes 1 cup)
- 1 tsp dried chamomile flowers
- 1 tsp dried lavender buds
- 1 tsp dried lemon balm leaves
- ½ tsp valerian root (optional, but powerful)
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup (optional)
- A slice of lemon or fresh ginger (optional, for taste)
Instructions
Boil Your Water
Heat 2 cups of filtered water to just before boiling (about 90°C or 195°F). Too hot, and you risk burning the delicate herbs.
Mix Your Herbs
In a teapot or infuser, combine chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, and valerian root. If you like a little zest, add a slice of fresh ginger or lemon.
Steep for 7–10 Minutes
Cover and let your tea steep. This allows the herbs to fully release their calming compounds.
Strain & Sweeten
Pour the tea through a strainer and into your favorite mug. If desired, add a touch of raw honey or maple syrup for extra relaxation benefits.
Sip & Unwind
Find a cozy spot, take a deep breath, and savor the moment. Try pairing it with a book, meditation, or your fave nighttime skincare routine.
